The rupee symbol as we know it (₹) was introduced in 2010. The rupee symbol is designed by D Udaya Kumar, an Indian academic and designer. The symbol is derived from a combination of the Devanagari letter ‘र’ and the Latin letter ‘R’.

The words “Satyameva Jayate” taken from Mundaka Upanishad, written in devanagari leepi and Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya gave the slogan of “Satyamev Jayate”.
Generally, we can see the national emblem on India Rupees, Sikka, Stamp, Passport, government letter head, govt vehicle also and the (₹) symbol can see on Indian Rupees, Invoice, Product MRP etc.
